Yeah I also had about the same ordeal happen with me at minimum of twice a day. I think they are just taking the first person to pick up, because I answered on the first ring and it's a lady saying she has grant money from the government to offer you if you want it. I asked if it was a scam and she said no why? Clearly theres alot of scams out there and it's ok to be skeptical. She said well thats fine if you don't want it thats no problem... she stayed on the line and didn't say anything for awhile didn't sound very profesional, and also I herd lots of people talking in the Background sounded like a stock exchange or something.
I said well what do I have to do to get it? Do I go online or just over the phone, she already had my address and everything on file I think I must have looked at a grant link online. Anyways she said you can have however much you want for college or personal use whatever and just over the phone was needed, and I said umm 40,000 and then the call just ended!!
It sure would be nice if it wasn't a scam but it sounds a bit hokey!!
I get calls from this number 10 to 15 times a day they say it originates from Weehawken, NJ but no name on the company or person calling. I do not answer it but it's getting annoying. I am supposed to be on the national do not call list so I can't figure out why they keep calling. Where do you report this number?
I just called the number back and there is an option #2 to put your number on their list to not call again. They do not say who they are or what they want. Hope this helps...
I receive this call, at a minimum, twice a day. When I answer it hangs up. When I call back it's a recording giving options such as: pust 1 for customer service, push 4 to be taken off the call list. If you push 4 it says you have been taken off the call list but the calls continue to come twice a day. Push one for customer service and your put on hold indeffinitly.
