Just, another, phishing, TeleMarketing, strategy. Enjoy yourself by engaging them. Try to keep them on the phone as long as possible. Act "Mentally Challenged"... Trick them into saying embarrassing things, etc.
I like to run a Table Saw while talking to them. I run the Saw, at the exact instance, I am giving them important info, such as my name, address, credit card number, etc.. Each time they ask me to repeat it, I do (Saw and all). It's a lot of fun if you use your imagination!
Have gotten calls from this group multiple times now, very annoying. I pressed 1 to talk to someone and asked her which card this was in reference to. She said, "Your Visa, Mastercard, or American Express that you are trying to lower your interest rate on." I then said, "No, which card since you've sent me multiple notices." She said that she didn't have access to that since they are only a qualifications department.
I then told her that didn't make sense and to do me a favor and take my number off their list. She responded with, "Noooo I can't do you a favor..." and hung up.
