When I called back the answering machine gave the option to press 9 in order for the caller to be removed from their list.

The old "lower electricity rates" scam. It's just another method to get a credit card number.

called SEVERAL times; does not leave message...yet ANOTHER scammer...

AGAIN dame telling me I can reduce my electric bill

Called landline. Caller did not recognize that answering machine picked up and recording started about reducing your electric bill blah, blah, blah, before call was disconnected. We NEVER answer ANY unsolicited call. Too many CRIMINALS that want to victimize whoever answers the phone.  CID displayed Hackensack NJ.
