I had a similar experience. Caller on my cell phone claimed to be from UPS and wanted to"confirm" my address to deliver a package. I called UPS who had no package scheduled for delivery to my address. Caller tried to confirm that no one was home during the day for delivery. When I called back, number was not in service.
received call about a package to be delivered. did not ask for money wanted address for packaged to be delivered to. when I returned call was told it was not in order. heavy accent in voice on returned call. it was a recorded message. caller spoke fluent english

Caller said had said had 2 packages one with my name Conn. Address,another with different name! But both Conn address! My husband gave our address and he said he would send the package with my name on it right out! Has anyone received any packages BC now I'm concerned. It was on an Assurance phone,free phone.
Another call today,same thing,said had package with my Assurance phone number on it ! And my name,different address,American speaking in his 50s maybe,I told hom didn't order anything,changed my number!
Received a call yesterday (Sunday) saying they had a delivery to be delivered between 2:30p & 4:00p... They said if no now was home, was it ok to leave it on the porch... I said we will be here... Thinking this was somewhat odd, I asked where the delivery was from, he gave me the address of my brother .... Well, I received no delivery & I called my brother after calling the number that called me yesterday (202) 000-8987, only to find that this was not a working number!!!! My brother sent me this link.... Unbelievable!!!!
