Just received a phone call from 202 204 5580 about a gv grant( federal) why dont the federal govt get after these people / asked questions especially asked if i was over 80 yrs old / and a citzen r u kidding / i hope the seniors that do receive this call and i hope they dont that they do regonize / what is taking place !!! robbery !!!
This caller stated the Gov't is giving grants to qualified individuals and requests basic info. Then proceeds to request account info (saving, checking, etc) to deposit this "grant" and it can only be received electronically.....smelling like a scam. Calling back the number brought up a generic "government grant dept" vm.

Received call from this number. Man with heavy accent said his name was Martin Glem, gave address of 200 Independence Ave, Washington DC. Gave a website: http://www.mygovernmentgrants.com/
I asked if this was a US Government Grant program then why does the website not have a .gov extension? I asked him to remove my name and number from his list. He said that he could not do that, so I asked for a supervisor. He said that he could not do that. I asked him again to remove my information since this seemed an awful lot like a scam. He became agitated and hung up. When I called back there was no answer, it went to a voice mail in which I clearly stated to remove my number from their call list.
Just received a call from a man claiming to be a Mr. Allan Rogers with the I.R.S. office. He said there was a mistake on my last years taxes and wanted to correct it. He just needed some information to add to my file. When questioning him further, he would not respond and said he had to put me on hold to ask something from his supervisor. He said his phone number was 202-204-5580 however my caller ID has it listed as 786-467-7291.
Do Not give out ANY information to anyone who calls you on the phone regardless of who they claim they work for. Always ask for a phone number of their office to call them back. Check the number online, it usually is a scam.
I received a call similar to the rest of these only with a different number 206-923-9681 the persons name was Nancy Wilson. She sounded as if she was from India. She requested all my personal info and said that I would need to send them 230.00 to receive 9000.00. Thank God it smelled like a scam and other people have reported them thanks for everyone who is reporting scams such as these.
