Called but did not speak to me. I called back and a gentleman speaking broken English stated that it was the IRS. Second call today claiming to be IRS. I spoke with a friend that works for the IS and they stated many calls are going out now trying to get $$ from people.
I'm an investigator and received a call from 202 594-2756 this morning. I only heard the last few seconds of the voicemail that was left, mentioning something about a lawsuit, if I didn't return the call. I conducted some database searches and found that this is a T-Mobile number, with a history dating back to 1990. The current subscriber is Ahmad T. Fields and it appears that he inherited the number from a deceased relative approximately 5 years ago.
Ahmad Fields' last known address is 622 N. Prospect St, Hagerstown, MD 21740. He has previous addresses in MD and DC.
Although I can't 100% confirm that this is still his number, he and a woman believed to be his deceased mother are the only people found to ever been associated with it. The number is currently active, but is not being answered. I don't believe that there will be any illegal activity involving this number for awhile.
