I just received the same message as Sue. A voicemail claiming to be the IRS filing a law suit against me and it being their final notice. They gave this as the call-back number. Will definitely not be following up. SCAM all the way.

I received a phone call from this number claiming to be the IRS and saying that I owed back taxes and they were going to throw me in jail and put liens on all my bank accounts if I didn't pay within the hour. Who can I report this scam to?
They called me today and said I owed money to the IRS. They even gave me a "case number." The only way to handle things outside of court was to give 986 dollars in one hour and as I was telling my mom the man said I couldnt have a third party in our conversation.
Pure BS and just an attempt to scam you. Ignore it and any similar calls from other numbers. The IRS always sends letters via US Mail, lots of them ending with letters you have to sign for. If you ignore all those, they simply freeze your assets, No lawsuits or arrests needed.
