I received a phone call from this number on my rental property phone number.
When I called back, the person (with not very good English) said they are from IRS and I need to pay over $3000 because there is misscalculation in my taxes.
I asked what year and they skipped to next thing. He refused to answer any of my specific questions.
My only options were:
1. To pay the balance over the phone
And 2. To have them issue the warrant for my arrest.
I ll take the warrant because I have all the taxes paperwork at least 10 years back.
Not sure if there is anyone so naive to just pay them few thousand dollars just because.

No, it is scamming foreign criminals pretending to be the IRS. The real IRS is predictable. They scam taxpayers once a year on or around April 15th. You can see the coming and there is no place to hide.
