Threaten me with lawsuit and arrest at my workplace. After I returned the call said if I purchased a prepaid card for $455 it would be settled out of court.I had no idea the account they were talking about
I got an email threatening bank fraud. They say I am going to be prosecuted if I don't take care of this. Senior Attorney Michael Black wants to make sure his client is taken care of. I haven't had a phone call from this one in a while, but over a year ago I did. They called my office. They tried to talk to my HR department too.
I received a call supposedly from IRS this morning stating I owed taxes for 1010 and 2012. A law suit was being filed with the federal government for $7836.35 plus my bank accounts and driver's license would be blocked if I didn't pay within two (2) hours !!!!!! - Gosh, I just received a 2nd call as I was writing this!!!!! -
Soon into the call I asked if I could speak with someone who spoke better English - I could hardly understand this gentlemen his Indian accent was so strong. I asked to speak with someone else- his accent was just as bad. They both readily gave me their name and "badge number" before I had a chance to ask for his info. One gentleman identified himself as Mr. Wilson, Badge IRN4240 and the other gentleman identified himself as Jack Lawson badge #FPA3250. Mr. Lawson hung up on me when I repeated that I wasn't doing ANY thing until I had spoken with my attorney.
I decided to google the number 202 239 2193 and discovered this was a new scam targeting elderly people.
Called and said was IRS and we owed back taxes from 2008-2014...told him I paid my taxes timely and he said he was giving me a chance to fix this before he turned it over to lawyers. Told him I would call the IRS myself, take me off his call list...he promptly hung up on me!
