Got message that said something about a lawsuit and the IRS. I called the number back about 40 or 50 times and said some real bad things to the guy that was claiming to be with the IRS. He got real mad and blocked my phone number when I started talking bad about Mohamed? I had a good time! LOL
Don't call me again you are a false and don't even have a good enough script to answer simple question. At the very least have the common coritsy to be able to try to back up your false call
Received a call to our land line from this number a few minutes ago. Caller ID: Raimund Pollard. I was curious and answered. After my "Hello" there was quite a long, soundless pause. Then an obvious recording with a male electronic voice came on telling me the call was from the IRS. blah, blah, blah, lawsuit, blah, blah, blah, call them back at 202-239-2424. I did not respond and kept on the line. Eventually, I heard the dsconnect click. I held on until I got the busy tone. Geesh! How stupid do these scammers think I and others are?
The badly recorded message said "This is Internal Revenue Service of the Department of the Treasury. We have been trying tor each you as there is a lawsuit being filed under your name and the arrest warrant is being issued under your name. Shortly the local authorities with an arrest warrant will be coming , so we want you to get back to us . You can reach us at 202-239-2424, repeat 202-239-2424."
Among other things, poor English grammar, poor recording quality, and knowing the IRS never calls, they always write letters is a dead giveaway that this is a scam. And they never forewarn ordinary citizens by phone of upcoming lawsuits.
This is clearly an extortion scam. ("Scammer" should be a category under "Call Type" below.)

I called him out on the scam and said I would be contracting my lawyer. He immediately hung up on me. Not to mention, the IRS has local branches and do not call people on their cell phone.
