Got a call today from people claiming to be the IRS, claiming that a warrant was out for my arrest due to owed taxes. In order to settle the case I had to go to Walgreens and purchase 2 $100 dollar gift cards as payment and that a payment plan would be worked out. They told me not to contact anyone about this matter. They threw a lot of legal terminology at me to scare me. First thing the real IRS would not contact anyone by phone, they send correspondence through the US post office. Secondly they accept 3 different kinds of payments. Pay by phone, personal check or money orders. Please never give out any personal information over the phone. Do your own investigation on the company before moving forward with them. Don't allow them to make you feel like you have to make a decision on the spot. That's usually a sign of a scam.
