Got an automated call twice this AM, supposedly from an "officer" in regard to an IRS lawsuit. Asked me to call this number before they file with the county courthouse.
I've received 3 Calls so far today. Stating local court house, kindly return our call on 202-239-5457, repeats the number again. This is why I would like to get rid of my land line phone, nothing but stupid scam calls.
Got 3 calls this morning with same info as reported above. They wouldn't give me any info, just wanted to speak with my husband and said it was the IRS. Freaked me out!!!!
This caller has got it backwards! You don't talk with people about personal legal matters until you have the paperwork in hand! How many times have I heard a lawyer say "We can't comment on your claim until we've seen the indictment."? Everything in business, finance, and law is documented. If it's not in writing, it doesn't exist! Don't talk to these folks.
