Well... seems they are expanding their scam. First got an automated call from Georgia: 1-404-462-4401, same call as today. It's the usual... claiming to be IRS & the freeze thing... blah, blah, blah! Am becoming well acquainted with 'block' on my phone :o)!!!
Called twice. First time no voicemail. Answered second and got an automated message allegedly from IRS. Said I will be contacted by IRS in person, at my home, because of failure to pay. Provided a number I could call (same number) if I had any questions. Sneaky scam.
Very threatening call allegedly from the IRS stating that they would hold me responsible for legal fees and freeze my assets if I didn't call back so I dialed *67 and called back. Got a message saying mailbox was full (not suprised). Actually they can kiss my [***]-ets.
Call saying IRS is threatening to freeze bank accts. if I didn't call them back on another #. I deleted the message before I thought to write down the # they left.
Said they were IRS, threatening to freeze assets for debt which I don't have. Said they were sending someone to the house with paper work. 24 hours to call back
