Scam call about IRS legal action on Fri. July 22, 2016 at 2:45 PM. Call was from a number in the Ymax Viop system. This is the latest in a string of calls received at home landline The computer generated voice message is the same as in other calls. The message said it was a call from the IRS concerning tax fraud that had been done to the IRS. This was obviously a robo call since my name was not used. In the computer generated voice, the message pronounced the work "filing" as "filling" when citing a lawsuit. Called id read Stephen Smith but most likely a fake. I've reported this and similar scams to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at the US Deptarment of the Treasury at https://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam.shtml.
The federal government has previously arrested a group of people around June 1, 2016 involved in a similar scam.
