Just got this same call -- caller ID "name unavailable" so it went to voice mail. I think if he call back again I will remind him I am in law enforcement and ask to meet at my office.
April 7 at 10:38AM. same pattern as listed here. Caller ID showed "District of Columbia" with the 202-241-0697 number. left a phone message that was hard to understand similar to those described here, using my first name. I could only make out the words "federal" and "investigation". The "officer" this time was Mike Meyer, with an Indian-sounding accent. I returned the call hours later (should have checked here first) and left a message. The same voice promptly called back, said something about documents that had been sent to me, but after having difficulty communicating, he stopped talking. I could still hear the background voices/sounds. I finally hung up.
I received a phone message stating that due to an ongoing criminal investigation (IRS and Homeland security) that a warrant was being issued for my arrest. The caller stated her name as Dela Henderson and he had a heavy Indian accent. I realized right away this was a scam but was listening to see how long this goes. I was threatened with an arrest by homeland security if I do not answer list of "simple" questions, etc. I hang up while she was still trying to make a case. During the call the background noise was there to simulate the call center environment. And she pretended not to hear well to get my attention.
I receveid same message as you guys today from Washington. Dc ,with broken accent she saying you owe money to IRS and warrent was issued against me I was so surprise,
I received a similar call today the caller said her name was Balla Young with id 1127b called from phone #2022410697 and was calling from investigation dept DC when i told her that i was going to call the Dallas police she said she was going to send my file to them and they will be at my house in 30mins to arrest me for fraud, because IRS forwarded my file to her dept.
