This person calls and states that he is from the IRS Crime Unit. THIS IS A SCAM. His recording is recorded from the actual IRS advocate hotline. I am reaching out to the authorities with this persons contact information. The number he leaves is 202-241-0779 ext. 106
Got a call today from "IRS" with an urgency to call them back to discuss a tax matter. I called the number an received a call from a man with an accent claiming that I have an arrest warrant issued in my name and I was committing money laundering. I asked him to tell me who he was and I was not going to give out personal information. He proceeded to call me a M'f...er, and B.... and was incredibly rude. I told him I knew he was calling from a center in India and he said he was calling from Pakistan. He said I was rude to him and he continued to call me names. I told him that I just wanted to know why he called and that I do not money launder and I have no arrest warrant. I also told him that I am married to an Indian man. He said that I should know Hindi and I told him that I am an American wife. I asked him again to tell me why he really called. He hung up on me. I called the FBI and will be calling my local IRS tomorrow to file a complaint. Any professional will not be so rude or use the kinds of names he called me. He was from Pakistan.
yes i got the same call - they left me messages - i call the number and a guy answers and he pretends to be IRS and he is rude and has an accent - he asked from my home number name and I refused to give it to him
the crazy thing is during one of my calls I got a gentleman who claimed that this is his cell phone - so probably they are using his cell number to make these calls
My mother received a call from this number also claiming to be Spencer McKenzie jr with the IRS. Instructed her to purchase a $2500 government bond and stated she would be served tomorrow with tax lien papers and she was to turn the bond over to the person that serves her. She called the actual 1-800 for the IRS and reported this as a scam. Do not return their call!
