Received three calls from this # today. It was an woman with a thick Indian accent. Supposedly, her name is Kelly Jones and her title is officer. She never stated I owed money, but did say she was with the "Internal Revenue Service Department" and that it is a time sensitive issue. If I didn't call her back the "THE SECOND" I received the call then my attorney must call on my behalf. I knew already it was a scam. I did go to www.tigta.gov to report this person impersonating an IRS agent. Don't fall for it. For anyone who may not already know another popular scam is where a sheriff deputy calls your home sating you missed jury duty and must pay the penalty or a sheriff will immediately to to your home. Don't fall foe that one either.
I heard a heavy middle eastern accent (Indian or Pakistani)... This person claimed to be with the Internal Rev svc. they told 80+ year old family member that she needed to pay $1100 within one hour! Big red flag. Coincidentally we have an issue that we are resolving with the IRS right now. I asked if he had received the fax & if the other issue was resolved. He said yes but we needed to pay $1100 within the hour or they were filing a lawsuit. I became very suspicious. He said he could only talk to her directly. I called him back and said I needed more proof that he was with the IRS and I said "I think you are a fraud." & he hung up on me. I called the # again & he said" oh you're the one that accused me of being a fraud", and then he proceeded to say " F**# you! . I hope these horrible people burn in hell for a long time!
Received call and ignored it. Got message from a lady with a very thick indian accent identifying herself as Kelly Jones saying that she is with the IRS and if I don't return her call, she wishes me good luck with all the trouble I'm going to be in. Next time they call, I'm going to make it a point to answer just to mess with her hahahahahaha.
