Received voice mail from John Schmidt claiming to be with IRS Tax Crime Investigation. Message said warrant was issued for my arrest. I called back and asked for federal employee ID to give to my lawyer. They disconnected the call and now will not answer my calls. The person who answered the call had a heavy foreign accent.
I have received the exact same call and voice mails a few times. Today I finally called them back and thought the call was legit. Reached their voice mail with some heavy accent. Within minutes, someone from the same number called me back and said I will be behind bar in 30 minutes. Just ridiculous. Ignore them if you got a call like that.
