Received call from this number today. It is a SCAM! Could barely understand the guy. He said he was from the crime investigation unit. The crime investigation unit needs to hunt him down and send him back to his country like the other victim in this post mentioned.
Caller ID said "WASHINGTON, DC". A message was left that specifically used my name but was mostly unintelligible as the speaker had a heavy Indian accent and had trouble reading his script, sometimes repeating himself. Asked me to call back. Said something about being from a crime investigation unit (unbelievable!). Ridiculous call but I'm so sick of these calls. Thank goodness for caller ID.
Recieved a phone call from this number and I hung up twice because the caller was obviously not American. He called two more times and finally left a message saying that there is a warrant for my arrest and to call back. I did not. The caller ID said it was from "Martha Copeland" but the caller was definately male.
Do not know what the scam is but I can tell you there is no warrant for my arrest cause I am a nice guy.
I got a call from this number this afternoon and they left a message. Poor English, etc. said he was from CID (Criminal Investigation Division) but didn't say where/what law enforcement agency. He said there is a warrant for my arrest and I should call him, "Officer" someone, badge #something, but I couldn't understand the reason he gave. Beware!
