SCAM!- A Man with a foreign accent introduced himself as an IRS officer and asked to contact him in the matter of ongoing
Investigation!
Also claimed to start police action if I didn't respond!
a john white from (supposedly)IRS called left a message that I have some kind of tax issues and I have to call back or i'll deal with police. I'm going to call 911.
Good grief, do you think this is some kind of immediate emergency?
Maybe you are one of the folks who calls 911 if your order of chicken fried rice did not have enough chicken in it?
There is a widespread IRS or "tax scam" being practiced by scammers on both Canadian and USA residents.
USA tax payers should read this:

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.
