Got a number from 202-241-3059 guy states he is from the FTC nice bad accent though trying to give me a hard time hmm I spoke to the FTC they were American English speaking individuals but they don't go after anyone duh... Geeze gonna come after me right.. how about I call your house and bug you 24/7 or better yet post your number on facebook and twitter or even better have my good friends at Anonymous call and find you at your home and give you hell.. Your Funny....
I too got a call from this number, an officer steve johnson, from FTC stating my name and ssn is connected to some violations and was demanding i call or have my attorney call this number. Thank God, I had to forsight to google the number and found this before I answered the call back.

I have been getting calls. They knew my birthdate my email address and ss number. I have no clue who these people are and how they got my information. But its creepy.
This person called my cell phone and left a VM stating that he was from the FTC and complaints were filed against me under my SS #. He said to call back immediately, don't ignore the call, etc... Then, about 7 minutes later he called me at work! Identified himself as Steve Johnson (which incidently, is the same name that was used a few weeks ago calling my cell phone with the same message, but from a differenct # 916-500-4383.) How can we get this to stop? It's very frustrating! There was a message on my local news channel recently warning the public about this exact scam.
