Claimed that message was for "YOU" and "YOU" need to take this message seriously as it's from the IRS. Wanted me to call them back immediately before legal action is taken against "YOU!" (YOU meaning ME?...)
Can't imagine a scenario where this could be legit! Was too vague, didn't know name of who they called, and just said call number back without leaving a contact name. No info gets no info!!!
Just called back and spoke to Security officer Damon Marshall, who tries to sound SO official... Lmao! He said he needed my attorney's name and phone number because the IRS is suing me. I replied with "don't call my house and threaten me and how about you give me your attorney's name and phone number"... His response was "[***] you" and he promptly hung up. I called back, and again received Officer 007 Hokey Pokey, I told him I was on a recorded line (which I was recording)... And again he hung up.
Received a message on my voice mail that if I ignore this message and I or my attorney don't return the phone call I would regret. I didn't return the call. I got another call from 202-864-1109 on the same day with similar voicemail.
