You took out a payday loan and never repaid the loan as you agreed in your contract. You people owe this damn money and your just using the internet to try to say its a scam. You owe the money, stop dodging it and pay the damn loan back.
This nuber called my mother and TOTALLY freaked her out. i do not live in the us any more and she was totally freaked out that i was gonna be arrested the next time i tried to come home. this is a SCAM!!!!!
I received a phone call almost identical in which sf states. The only difference is that they had my social security number. They basically told me that if I didn't pay them what was owe on some loan, a loan in which I have no idea what they are talking about, they will file papers with the DA and file criminal charges on me. I stated that I would not pay anything until I knew what it was about and they refused to tell me anything. The said a letter went out to me and was returned because the address was incorrect so I asked them to resend it to me. They flat out refused to and told me that they only have 10 days to collect the money before criminal charges are filed against me. Trying to scare me into paying for something that I have no idea what they are talking about. I researched on line for The Law Group, as they called themselves and found this website when I put their number in. My next step is to file a complaint with the attorney general and also the BBB. WATCH OUT FOR THIS KIND OF CALL!!!

My fiance and I received almost the exact same call as LA and SF yesterday. We were told that it was a payday loan from four years ago and that they had sent us notices. We never received anything about this debt or anything from a collection agency about it. We were told that we had until Wednesday morning to send them $250 as a good faith payment in order to not have a federal arrest warrant issued on Wednesday. There is nothing on his credit report about this debt or anything either. The woman that called said her name was Liz Edwards and that she was from the Law Group, she even gave us a case number to use when my fiance called back. She also called my moms house and left a message which was our last known address before this address but we have been at this address for 3 years. We have already contacted a lawyer to have it checked into and I intend to contact the BBB also.
