Have been calling my phone number that is on do-not-call list without leaving a message for many days if not weeks. Today first called from 202-241-7148 and immediately after from “Private Caller” and left a message with heavy Indian accent that he is an IRS agent and that an arrest warrant has been issued by IRS and  asked to call back to the number above. I filed a complaint as recommended by the IRS at http://www.irs.gov/uac/Newsroom/Scam-Phone-Ca ... uspicious-Calls .

First time they called, I left it to the answer machine, After I did my research, and found out that its a scam, I come up with my own. They call three hours later, on the same day, and I answer the phone. Before they say anything, I've advised them that the call will be recorded. They hang up right after that, and no calls from this number so far.

This number belongs to some guy with a magicJack, not the IRS.  See my post at:

Yes Fellow Americans,
202-241-7148 is listed as YMAX Communications (Magic Jack).  It's about time that YMAX takes responsibility and terminates this number for the violations of the user!  Can anyone understand why there isn't someone from YMAX viewing websites such as these and taking appropriate action against the offending accounts?  All it would take as evidence is a call to the number to prove that the account holder is claiming to be the Internal Revenue Service!  It's about time YMAX shows it is a lawful, dependable and responsible corporation!  I for one will never purchase and use Magic Jack until I see YMAX take a more responsible and swifter approach in terminating these criminal accounts!  Come on YMAX, show you have good intentions to your current and potential customers by ensuring the accounts are lawful!  Doing the right thing can only make for good advertising; doing little or nothing to stop these criminal accounts can only make for bad press!
God Bless America and let's put an end to Telecommunications Terrorists such as these!

On voice-mail, the caller identified himself as Ron Lyons, calling from the IRS and asked that I return his call before a warrant was issued for my arrest. Caller spoke in a foreign accent (eastern European?), and spoke haltingly and without emotional connection to the words he was saying, as though he was reading a script. He did not sound like the mastermind of a scam, but probably someone for hire. I will contact the IRS about the call.
