Received two vm within 30 min from this exact number.  The caller identified himself as Officer John White from the IRS Crime Investigation Department confronting me with Arrest Warrant filed against me.  An immediate return call was demanded in order to exchange more information on this warrant.  I immediately filed a complaint with the FTC.  Watch out for this jerk!

I would do this.  sometomea he pleads that i stop, other times he gets angry.  If everyone would do this he will eventually have to change the number.  BEATS THE innefective gov agency that is suppose to shut this down!

Many scammers use spoofed numbers.  Its likely that the number you are calling does not belong to the scammer you are trying to harass.  It belongs to an innocent stranger.  You belong in jail for harassing him.

That's a bit harsh to call for jailing the victims. This is a ymax corporation number (magicJack), a Voice over IP phone and preferred method of communication for IRS scammers. 202 241xxxx numbers are particularly notorious and the voicemail belonging to this number uses the impersonation of a federal officer (something you can be jailed for). It is almost certainly not used for spoofing but a real life scammer at the other end. The thing to do is, though: don't call back constantly but report it to [email protected]. The company does follow up and will eventually shut this number down if they establish it as being used against their published TOS......leading to less harassment for all involved.

Horst.....you need to stop making those calls.   The scammers will often spoof the name of just anyone for a call back number.
99.9%  shot that you are harassing some innocent person who is a victim of this spoofing.     Unless a person is 100 percent sure,   please do not make these calls to unknowns.  It could happen to you also.

I'm reminded of the lady who decided to blow the whistle into the telephone on a scammer.  It's tempting and would be great if it would just blow their ear drums out.  But,  in retaliation the scammer started spoofing her phone number as a call back.
She started getting calls from people screaming and cussing her for being a scammer.   Finally she got MA-Bell to change her number.   The scammers are the lowest form of thieves on the face of the earth and it is probably best to avoid even talking to them.
