My son got the phony call from rajh aka "officer white". Too bad that the IRS doesn't do "crime" investigations,
that would be the FBI. IRS does audits. So if they are going to lie, why don't they get their details straight.
Pretty good English, but my first guess was a Pakistani voice.
Received a call from someone claiming to be Officer John White with crime investigation department from IRS, saying that the IRS has an arrest warrant out for me and that my physical address is under federal investigation; and to call back to get detailed information on my case.
I got a call from officer White stating that he was with the IRS and that I am under investigation and surveillance. He said something about an informant being involved. Funny thing is that I am a Federal employee and I was really amused by this threatening message that was left on my landline. It was more upsetting to my 90-year old mother who lives with us.
Thanks to the internet, I was easily able to check out if this was a legit caller which it was clearly not. I can now calm my elderly mother.
