omg my son got a call from American sweepstakes there # 202 370 7657 telling him he won all this money he is 17 yrs old and does not think you have to work for a living already.. Dad Dad I won I won give me a break....
Well long story short this is where two dumb [***] met.
We got the same call 202-241-9009 - I hate to say it, but the accent is a dead giveaway - and they're not giving anything away! I'm definitely tormented!!!!
i just taught my dad you can google funny scammers like this. he is amazed and now is googling anyone who has ever called us that sounds funny
this guy was trying to tell us he was a bank then told us we are going to hell for calling him a scam.
Called today and asked for my wife. Told him she was at work and he introduced himself as "Mr. Davis of Wells Fargo Bank". Said she had a check waiting for her from some sweepstakes for 1.5 million. I started laughing uproariously and asked him how f---king stupid did he think we were. Left a few more choice comments for him and he hung up.

A Dozen Ways to Protect Yourself
The next time you get a "personal" letter or telephone call telling you "it’s your lucky day," the Federal Trade Commission encourages you to remember that:
1. Legitimate sweepstakes don’t require you to pay or buy something to enter or improve your chances of winning, or to pay "taxes" or "shipping and handling charges" to get your prize.
If you have to pay to receive your "prize," it’s not a prize at all.
