I have had three calls referencing this number. First call I went along knowing that this was a scam (I gave no personal info). I was asked to call back and they would tell me where I could pick up my money, Western Union. I never called back. Second call. I let him talk for awhile and then I told him that I know this was a scam and not to call my number again. Third call, I let him talk for awhile. Again I said that knew that this was a scam and not to call here again. All three were very hard to understand. When they said that they were giving away grant money from the US Government I know it was a scam. All three amounts were different, $10,000, $5,200 and $8,400. Caller ID comes up, Out of Area and Unknown Caller. Can't this be stopped.
have had a number of calls from this number. All have been left on my answering machine. Finally was home when they called and took the call. Caller (who had a very strong foreign accent -- I could not tell what country -- but was hard to understand) said he was an agent with the Federal Government and I owed money. I asked for his name, address, and badge number -- Jerry Hunter, Badge #TY105, 200 Independence Street, Washington, he said. I let him talk. I believe the amount he said I owed was $9700, but he was going to do me a favor and give me money. I confronted him, said this is a scam, he ought to be ashamed of himself for doing what he is doing. I also asked to talk with a "Supervisor Agent", but Jerry ( as he asked me to call him) would not oblige. I told him not to call back, and, again, told him he was committing fraud.
Too bad schmucks like this exist, preying on older people, people that do not know better. I hope the real Federal agents catch these crooks and they are prosecuted and convicted.
