Same as most of you, was definitely foreigner with same message about being selected by the "grant" department to receive $9K. I called him a crook and hung up.........kinda harsh but he's the guy that call's our less-assuming loved one's and bilking them out of their life's savings. PEACE.
The caller had an Indian accent and said he was from the US government grant office and I was to receive $9000 and asked if I wanted to know how I was eligible for this money. I said what I wanted to know was "who this was and where is he calling from" He said, "From Washington DC and gave a street name". The call was then cut off. This was definetly a scam.
Received same call advising of $9,000.00 grant, said his name was Patrick Johnson, I asked him if he was Irish, he said yes, sounded more like Somalian, I wasted a bunch of his time and told him this was a scam, but he kept trying to pitch his grant. He tried very hard to give him a visa card number, scary he probably succeeded with someone.
