I got so sick of this number calling, I answered. The guy (with a heavy accent) said I was eligible for a $9,000 grant that I didn't have to pay back. It sounded like a scam so I asked him to remove me from his calling list. He got mad and yelled "you want me to remove you from this list? It will cost you $200. dollars. I got mad and told him " in your dreams" and hung up. Since then he's called back 4 times.

Debbie - I think I talked to the same guy. I answered and waited for the caller to speak first. He asked to talk to Mike, I said, "This is he" (careful not to use the word "yes") and he claimed the same; that I had applied for a grant of $9,000. When I told him I had not, he said, "Well why do I have your file in front of me then?" I told him I didn't know, but that I didn't apply for any grants. He then claimed that I forgot that I applied (?!) or that now "...you are pretending." (Who talks like that?) My next response of, "Look, [***]..." quickly ended the call. ;)
4 calls from this number in less than 2 hours. I finally answered it, an Asian gal asked for me but I pretended to be someone else and asked her to leave a message twice, she hung up saying nothing. I dialed that number after a few minutes and got a recording saying that number is not in service. It's clear it's a scam!
