This # has called us multiple times over the past week, caller ID says Air Qlty Alert, doesn't leave a voice mail and when I answered the phone once nobody answered. At first, I thought it might be a new service regarding air quality index for the area, now realize it's a total nuisance, calls all hours day and night!
They have been calling my household since Aug. 14, 2009. Today is Oct. 26. They have called EVER DAY from 3 different numbers but my caller ID always shows as MRS----(Lowlife Debt Collectors as described on Google). Today I answered and got a stupid guy because I have just Had ENOUGH. WE HAVE NO OUTSTANDING DEBT> THEIR BUSINESS IS WITH NOONE IN MY HOUSEHOLD!!!!!The lowlife guy was looking for a Meagan. I told him there was no one by that name here and he asked why I was angry and I said because I knew his company was a debt collection agency and he asked me how I knew----The idiots don't know it comes up on Caller ID. Lets see if he stops calling here!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Called and left a message of someone asking for me by name like they didn't recognize that an answering machine had picked up.
I called back and the recording said "Thank you for calling the American Lung Association." There are a series of prompts that allow you to be removed from their calling list, which is what I did.
When you call back a message claims that they are the American Lung Assoc. but the only option you have is to be removed from their calling list. When you input your number, their system scrambles the inputs, effectively making it impossible to remove your number. I find it strange that a the American Lung Association doesn't want to talk to potential donors. It is even less likely that they would only offer to remove my number and then innocently claim that it couldn't understand my keypad entries. Sounds like a bogus group or maybe the MRS associates debt collectors that came up on caller IDs last year.
