Called saying I was being sued by the IRS and that I needed to call them. This was to my voicemail. I did not call back and have no intention to do so. They would not call. They would send a letter and it would not be singularly since we file jointly and they don't have my phone number and wouldn't find it searching by my name. They didn't say who in the household they supposedly are suing. Definitely a scam of some sort my feelings tell me.
Left a VM at 7:50 AM today. I called it back. He gave me a name and badge number, though he barely spoke English. He told me that I had underpaid my taxes and that there was an impending lawsuit against me from the IRS. I told him this was a scam and that I paid my taxes and that the IRS would send me a letter if they needed anything. Finally had to go to work so I hung up and reported them to donotcall.gov since I'm on the do not call list.
