I got the same call and they answered the phone directly no operator and their connection was bad. I called back and got a different guy and connection was still bad
The call is an automated message telling you this is the IRS and this is your last notice before taking legal action. Sounded like bull, and it is. IRS does not use automated voice notifications.
Just got a call. Claiming a suit has been filed against me by the IRS. Called back, foreign person, bad connection. Called again and busy signal. Knew it was as scam, but wanted to let them know I knew.
Same call Jan 8 2014 Played with all afternoon. Finally gave local number from this list and now the phone rings busy hum. Yes the IRS will never contact by phone for any suit they always need a paper trails. The US Mail and it will be a CP form number. IE CP30 for 30day CP60day CP90day. Then it will be registered mail to assure them you signed for it.
