I got a call from this number yesterday, but I didn't answer as I didn't recognize the number. He left a message stating his name was Evan, didn't say from what company and sounded like a automated voice, and that a formal summons/complaint was faxed to his desk and I can contact the plaintiff to voluntarily resolve the matter. He left some untraceable 877 number and a case file. And then says I've been officially notified. He doesn't say anything about what this call is in regards to or again what company he is from or who/where the "plaintiff" from.
It sounds really fishy to me...in all the research I've done, if you're being summoned or notified, I don't think they can do it by voicemail...it has to be done in writing either via certified mail or in-person.
I received a call from this number - ( caller Id says Cullom .C.) from a Ken no last name given no company name given either ...
telling me they received a complaint on me and to call 877-430-4377 and gave me a case number, I tried to look up the 877 number and only found a bunch of complainants about this being a scam
