This number called me looking for my mom. He said his name was "Detective Ford" from the IRS and a complaint was filed against her accusing her of tax fraud. The guy had a middle-eastern accent. I gave him my mom's number and he called her a couple minutes later after I got off the phone with her telling her about the call. My mom laughed at this guy who yelled at her saying "You think this is funny? You're going to jail!" I called this number back and another man answered the phone and called for "Detective Ford" from across the room. He took the phone and I told him I reported him to the federal government who is opening an investigation based on the phone number for fraud and impersonating a federal officer. He hung up on me: these people are running a scam so don't get fooled by them!

This is a SCAM! This is not the IRS, these are just people out to steal your money. Don't give them any information, and tell them you are reporting them!
Almost lost over $4800 before looking up this number on google. These messages on here saved me. Thank you - do not believe what they say. First caller had an iIndian accent. He transferred me to the paying agent which sounded just like him. Then I hung up. If the sheriff comes in 2 hours, guess I'll know it was real.
Don't know who this person was that called saying that I committed tax fraud and said I owed them over 1900.00. I don't know how they got my information, but if they are a fraud I want to report them.
total scam. Could not answer any of the questions I asked him the IRS would easily know about return amounts ect..Called IRS call system is totally different.
