I received three calls from this number today. The first I did not answer; caller did not leave a message. The second call, I did answer. The caller asked to speak to a woman whose name I did not know. I told the caller there was no one by that name at this number. He disconnected without saying anything. The third call, I also answered. A man and woman were both speaking, apparently to each other, in a foreign language. I couldn't identify the language but the accents sounded Indian. They did not ask to speak to me. I said hello, several times, louder each time. The man and woman did not seem to hear me. I finally said, very loudly, that if they called me again I would file a complaint with the FTC. Again, they apparently did not hear me, and I disconnected. I called the number back and got the message "the number you dialed is not in service." I *have* filed a complaint with the FTC (at https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx).
Thanks for your advice of reporting this number to the FTC. The caller (a woman)said she was from the U.S. Treasury department. I of course did not believe her and I told her to stop calling and that I am on the do not call list. She said "no you will get a call again". So I hung up on her.
I received a call at noon today. They called me by my first name jessica. I'm like speaking. Then they go onto say they are from the US treasury. That's when I hung up. He had a very prominent Indian accent. Why do they do this. Hate scammers.
