I received a call on this number today (7/29/14) and did not pick it up. I could hardly understand it because of the poor quality of the VOIP connection. No ones name was mentioned and we were told we need to call back about a serious legal matter and that our attorney at hand. He said he was officer John Parker. If you don't return the call about the items here, the only thing I can do is wish you very good luck about the legal situation. Blah, Blah, Blah. Glad I looked up the number as I knew we didn't have any legal situations that needed attention!
I received the same phone call you all have described but, on my companies phone, leaving, a phone number for me or my attorney to call back because it was a very serious matter. It was kind of comical to me, being that his accent was so thick, he really believes someone will fall for it. He had to pause frequently just to pronounce the words. I really didn't understand the reason for the call, only that he stated they needed to hear from me or my attorney.
I called the number back to tell him to stop calling, it had a lot of background noise as if he was in a call center. He answered the phone something to do with the IRS, when I told him I knew it was a scam, he started to call me a betch, and say other profanities to me.
called my house 4 times today and left a message the last time. Same kind of guy - thick accent, claims to be officer miller with the IRS. me or my retained attorney should contact him as it is time sensitive. yadda, yadda, yadda. He did however have my first and last name (although he struggled with pronouncing it correctly) It is so easy to search in google a phone number and see comments from others. I knew from the accent right away it wasn't legit and I hope others are smart enough to atleast google the number before calling anyone back like this.
