Just got a call from a woman that hardly spoke English. She said I had a Federal Grant for 7,000 dollars and I could go to any walgreens and it would be wired to me. She gave me and ID number and told me to call this telephone number and talk to the senior officer and give him the ID number then I could go to walgreens and pick up the money. First time I went along with it got the phone number and ID number never called it, they called me back 15 minutes later and asked when I was going to call the senior officer I told them I already did and was going to walgreens to pick up the money. I'm now waiting for a call back and then I will tell them the Senior Officer wants to talk to them and give them the number to the local police department. I'm tired of them calling my house.
Claimed they are calling from the Government Grant Department. The wanted me to call some Grant Officer on 202-464-2535, and I even got a grant ID# too, ooh, and that I should head to a CVS pharmacy or Walgreens whichever is closer and once I get there I should call the grant Officer and I can collect the $7000
Just got a call saying I had a free grant and to head down to the nearest Walgreens and call this number 202-464-2535 to talk to a senior officer and give a number to them to get $7000. Now, I wasn't born yesterday. I know this is a scam
we went without in case they scan our cards) is a TOTAL SCAM, THEY TELL YOU THAT THEY WILL GIVE YOU 7000 DOLLARS.
ALSO THEY TELL YOU THAT YOU HAVE TO TALK WITH THE SUPERVISOR. THEY WILL GIVE YOU A FAKE ID NUMBER 7169760
I played it off with this guy i said this is a scam. He asked me how or why i would think that well let me see i can hear a rooster crowing in the background.
