Received a call today. Recording said I owed the IRS and instructed me to call back. With all the scam warnings, I of course did not call. I did, however, report them to my Attorney General's office. Remember, that ALL these calls are scams. Government agencies send registered letters, not phone calls.
I receive this call from this known number to say that the IRS the file A case against me like a fraud case so I call back the number they ask where I live and my name sure the irs know where I live and they say I have to pay like over $4000 back tax and now in The phone if not they will send warning arrest against me and they ask for my bank account and credit card So I don't give them any of my info but I knew it the scammer they say if I am not paying over the phone I be in Jill with n one hr lol then I know they are scammer I never have any litter from the irs that say any thing people don't get scammed pls most of us hard working people and good citizens so pls any number you called reported in here it will help thanks

I received a phone call, which I did not answer, but they left a voice message saying the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. I remember a call like this one year ago, and nothing happened to me. I thank the other people who wrote on this post about their similar experience. It alleviates me from worrying.
I received the same call yesterday. I know the IRS does not operate like this so did not call back. I got one of these same calls a couple months ago. It just makes me so sad that they will get responses from people that get intimidated and lose their money. There are so many scammers out there that are making a living doing this and it is shameful.
