The call claimed to be from the IRS. I did not answer and let it go to voice mail...all they said was call this number ASAP, and I did and a foreign sounding gentleman said IRS and I hung up.
Same as Mike. Recording says to call a 202 number in Washington DC immediately. The IRS does not contact you with a recorded message to call them. The first contact IRS has with you is a letter and not a call. This is a scam that is going around and should you get this call, DO NOT CALL any number you are given. Just hang up and forget the call.
Found the message to call the IRS at this number. It's like the "I'm calling from Windows Support" scam. I didn't even bother to call the number. The IRS does NOT telephone you, they send official letters. I can only imagine how many calls I'd get daily if I was not on the 'Do not call' list.
Just (6:30 PM) had a call going to voicemail, informing me the IRS is spanning a lawsuit against me. To call ASAP. Won't call them, and erased the message.
