I got the same call today when I got upset about it then he told me get your attorney to contact me and then he hanged up but he never gave me his name
I received a call from a Kelly Smith claiming that I was randomly selected to receive $7800 from a gov. grant, that does not have to be paid back. She also claimed she worked in the Federal Gov.t dept. out of Washington DC. That when I get the money that it was to go for paying bills, home improvement, etc. just as long as it didn't go for anything illegal, i.e. gambling, terrorist stuff. She told me that I would need to bring in 3 things to the Western Union, 1. My cell phone 2. Identification 3. $200, that which I would get right back along with the $7800 grant money. She also told me not to tell Western Union where the money was coming from stating that they would charge a lot of taxes, and that I should say that it's from a friend. My daughter came after the call ended and after some checking, well, the rest is history. Fortunately, I still have my $200.
The guy called said he was from the IRS this morning and said that he needed my attorney for the case. I asked which case he was referring to he said "the IRS has already sent audit information to your mailing address a long time ago". I asked what my mailing address was, he gave me an old mailing address. I said nope. He asked when I moved. I said a long time ago, he asked when, then hung up.

This person called me supposedly from the irs telling me I owed money and that I needed to pay, as soon as I started asking questions on who signed and where he got all the information from he immediately hung up.. what a scam don't pay attention be aware of this ppl and don't give out any information.
