Received a call today that is the same as the posts under phone number 202-470-6879. Govt grant for 5200.00. When I asked a lot of questions the man with a middle eastern accent became aggressive and abusive. I called back to report to supervisor and the "supervisor" continued the scam. He advised me to go to Western Union money store then advised me to go to www.teamviewer.com which is a remote desktop program. This is a scam! Do not go to teamviewer.com if you are called. They will walk you through the process and before you know it, they will have complete access to your computer. This is dangerous because they can then search your internet history and hard drive for personal information to include banking information and credit card information. Be careful. These folks are nice at first but then become very nasty very quickly if you ask too many questions.
I recieved a call from 202-470-5059 today. The man on the other end of the phone was of middle eastern accent and wanted me to go to my computer so he could walk me throough a process to recieve a code. He told me I would need this code to inorder to pick up a grant form the US government at my local Western Union. I felt that this was a scam and didn't follow along with his program. I couldn't even understand him enough to know the company name he gave me.
I missed a call from this number, so I returned it and they did not answer. They called me back and asked me why I called them, I said I returned their call. They said I applied for a grant using a email address that I no longer have or is in use. I told them I was not interested in a grant. The man they asked me "Why am I waisting his time?" and hung up.
I received a call last week and was taken for some money... I am embarrass to say how much $900, but I would like to kick the crap out of them and send them back to their country. The callers claim their names to be Stephen, Jeff, and David etc... I have learned a big lesson and I feel for the next marketer that calls me as they will most likely get an ear full, especially if they are from another country...
