Received call and said they were from the US treasury office saying my 2013 taxes were wrong and they needed my attorney info before I cut them off. I then called back got totally different amount owed and different year taxes
The IRS does not initiate contact via a phone call, they first send postal letters.
The IRS does not threaten arrest.
The IRS does not demand immediate payment over the phone.
The IRS does not ask for Credit card, Debit card, or prepaid money card information, at all.
It is a scam ran by offshore criminals attempting to trick you into sending them money.

They said they were from the office of legal affairs, to contact Alan and if not to have my attorney call them back before it becomes a legal mess (their words) whatever
