Call from 202-480-2990 yesterday - Robo-call - "This is **** with a great opportunity for you from the Alzheimer's Association" - I promptly hung up. I called back & got the message "The Verizon customer you have called is not available. This number has been changed or disconnected."
Since this is not a "political call" that is exempt from the Do Not Call Registry, I WILL be filing a complaint with the FCC & FTC for this call. My number has been on the Do Not Call Registry for years!
202-480-2990 called - Message from Senator Lindsay Graham inviting me to a Town Hall meeting. Gave his Greenville, SC local # for me to call with issues I have.
Probably inserted in the automated voice message for effect. Sen. Graham probably either doesn't know about this or hasn't been able to do anything about it.
Caller ID showed District of Columbia. I picked it up and was told it was the Attorney General's Office
and to stay on the line to have a town hall meeting to discuss issues important to my State.
I've never heard of the US Attorney General's Office holding town hall meetings with voters. I hung up.
Political calls are exempt from the Do Not Call law. That needs to be changed!!!
ANYONE who makes telemarketing calls of any type need to be PUT TO DEATH!!!

Called my place of work 99 times between the time of 8:01pm and 9:07pm. Left no messages. I'm guessing if it is a political person their using an electronic program to call numbers and when they get to a business that doesn't have an answering machine unless you press a button the machine just automatically calls back? It was really weird though walking in and having 99 missed calls from the same number.
