This seems to be a Pakistani based call center (there are also many Indian based ones). Don't fall for that. Their script is to first find out whether you have legal representation (if you say yes, they may drop the call at that point), then they threaten you with arrest within an hour and then they offer to resolve the issue using prepaid debit cards. You have been warned!
I got a voice mail message from this number that sounded like a robot with a foreign accent saying she was from the IRS and not to ignore this message but to call back. Not going to call back...probably a scam. If the IRS really wants me they'll send a letter I'm sure.
Receive a “IRS"message, the number is 2025068650 is about income tax, and warned immediately call back, to avoid legal prosecution. The next day received a heavy Indian accent as IRS Agent who speak the same warning (IRS agents could not really speak English so bad ), it is clear that this is a phone scam.
This is why I don't answer any phone calls that show a city and state on the Caller ID...
Here's what the IRS says to do when you get one of these calls:
If you know you don’t owe taxes or have no reason to think that you owe any taxes (for example, you’ve never received a bill or the caller made some bogus threats as described above), then call and report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 1.800.366.4484. http://www.treasury.gov/tigta/
If you’ve been targeted by this scam, you should also contact the Federal Trade Commission https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1 and use their “FTC Complaint Assistant” at FTC.gov. Please add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments of your complaint.
