Called three times before 9:30am. Heavy Indian accent and claimed to be from IRS with an issue regarding our tax return. Didn't even get our name correct nor could he pronounce Internal Revenu Service. He actually hung up on the 2nd call after he mispronounced "internal"....lol. I'm on a no-call list, so this type of scam really bugs me.
"This message is intended for susan(?) Ramsey. I was on the very next weekend you receive this message I need you all your leaking attorney off record to begin the call. The issue at hand a big family time sensitive. My name is officer Mike Watson. I'm calling you from IRS Internal Revenue Service and hotline to my division is 2025069847. I repeat it's 2025069847. Don't try to disregard this message and do weekend the call as soon as possible before any legal allegation date-be-here-this-is-mike-that-this-is-debbie-cnc-you(?) income tax. Goodbye and have a great day."
Second time for me different phone number. The legal allegation part is funny, can't even get their terminology right showing how stupid they are and even worse, how stupid they think we are. Now they have an American born woman doing the calling whose command of the English language is not much better.
A guy with a heavy Indian accent, a scamer, claiming to be from the IRS and that I owe them a substantial amount of money. However, he said they would settle my case if I make a payment directly to him. The call was intentionally setup to look like it came from Washington, DC, but it was probably coming from overseas. Needless to say, I don't owe the IRS or anyone else any money.
