Bogus caller claim to be IRS agent looking to collect money via credit card payment...SCAM.
Asked them to forward via mail all information regarding taxes "OWED" and they quickly switched to the sheriff will be at your house this afternoon to arrest you...I don't think so.
This is a well known IRS scam perpetrated from India or Pakistan (these scammers use Cingular Voice over IP phones, others prefer level3 or magicjack). You can usually tell by the thick accents. Sometimes they use spoofed numbers to seem real. Read http://www.irs.gov/uac/Newsroom/IRS-Reiterate ... -Telephone-Scam. All others who read this, please do not fall for this. The IRS never calls directly to open a case.
