Well, congratulations! They identified on our voice mail as "The Department of Consumer Affairs". Did not know they were in the business of giving away cash! LOL!
Just tell all of your friends and associates that you will be screening the old fashioned way by letting all calls go to voice mail after two rings, then you will only pick up if you recognize or expect their call. You can even give instruction about this on your outgoing message (short and sweet). We have been doing this since September 2015 and the number of calls has fallen off dramatically! Nothing works like taking the sail out of their wind. Good luck!
We actually never answer the phone until we hear the voice of someone we know or expect to call. The phone is set to 2 rings before the outgoing message. They actually left a message. She was looking for the man who used to have our phone number, said she ("A manda Cox")was calling from "The Department of Consumer Affairs". Ya, like they would use the phone to contact you! LOL!
