Called, but didn't leave a message.
As mentioned by MichiGal, this is a spoofed number by energycitizens.org. Since the group is fraudulently using the name World Bank, I called the number listed on the WB website which was supposed to be the WB Fraud Line (800) 831-0463. I was eventually connected to a man with a heavy foreign accent who said he didn't work for WB and didn't know how I gotchis Compliance Dept phone number. After about 5 minutes of listening to his drivel, I hung up.
My suggestion is to file a complaint with the FCC. You might also try sending an e-mail to
[email protected]
Realistically, both organizations are large enough that they won't really care about consumer complaints. The best thing to do is block the number.
