I received this call(Washington DC)earlier in the day, but no msg. left! Number called, again, later in the day, I answered and man with a thick accent, said he was from The Dept of Health and Welfare and that I was to receive an 8 thousand grant! I stopped him right there, told him, "Oh, hell no"! This is a scam! He tried to assure me that this wasn't a prank! I said I'd call back! I did, twice, with no answer! Scam!
The guy said his name is Jim farmers and he was verifying my info cause I was approved under the health act for a grant of 7500 tax free gave me my verification code said I don't have to pay it back it's for medical or personal money I can catch up on bills it sounds good but I wonder if it's a scam
Yes, this is scam. There is no such thing as the Health Act.
This same scam is reported many, many times each day on this site. This is a scam to get you to front some personal info, or sting you for "processing fees". This scam is usually run from Africa, Jamaica or India.
Think about it - you answered your own question - It is way too good to be true.
got a call but they left no message! as it was ringing, i pulled this info up on the internet~ I never answer numbers i don't know and no message is obviously a scam!
